Buno brings together sourcing, production, processing, quality management, storage, logistics, and export connecting Ethiopian coffee with buyers worldwide while protecting the identity of every lot.
Meet Abiyot Boru
Born in Gerba, West Guji, I grew up cultivating coffee, tending nurseries, harvesting cherries, and learning the land behind every cup.
I began buying red-ripe and dry cherries from local farmers and supplying nearby wet and dry mills—building market relationships and a focus on quality.
That path grew into Buno: sourcing, processing, quality management, logistics, and export that keep Ethiopian coffee identity intact.

A story rooted about me
I am Abiyot Boru, founder of Buno General Trading PLC. My work begins in Ethiopia’s coffee-producing communities and continues through processing, quality, and export for international buyers.
I lead Buno General Trading PLC, coordinating sourcing, production, processing, quality, and export from Ethiopia’s Guji and West Guji coffee regions.
Coffee sourcing, washed, natural and anaerobic processing, certified organic handling, cupping support, traceability, warehousing, logistics, and export readiness.
A company rooted in origin
Buno connects Ethiopian coffee with buyers beyond Ethiopia—keeping attention on place, producers, harvest, and processing throughout the journey.
" Every coffee represents a place, a producer, a harvest, and a method of processing. "
Experience that shaped the Buno journey
Raised in a farming family in Gerba, learning coffee cultivation, nursery care, weeding, watering, and harvest from the start.
Purchasing cherries from farmers and supplying wet and dry mills built practical knowledge of quality and market relationships.
From early trade experience to a structured export company with farms, outgrowers, processing stations, and international buyers.
Focusing on traceability, careful processing, certified coffee handling, and dependable supply information for global partners.
We connect Ethiopian coffee from farm communities to global buyers
Our work is rooted in Guji and West Guji, where altitude, variety, farming practice, and processing create distinctive cup character.
We work with coffee-producing farmers and organized outgrowers, keeping close knowledge of origin and production status.
Our wet and dry processing stations protect quality after harvest through washed, natural, and anaerobic methods.
Quality is built through the full journey—from sourcing and processing to cupping, storage, and export preparation.

It is teamwork that makes the dream work.
Buno’s supply network includes relationships with farmers and organized outgrowers, with documented organic and Rainforest Alliance certification pathways. Quality begins at origin.
